The City of Richmond knows how to party.

Depending on the time of year, there’s always something interesting to do, from the lively summer night market, to live theatre and entertainment, to maritime and historical festivals, to whale watching, wine tours and community days.

Visitors and locals wait all year for some of Richmond’s culture-rich annual celebrations like Chinese New Year, the Steveston Salmon Festival, and the Richmond World Festival. Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year, is full of traditional lion and dragon dance performances, pop-up flower and gift markets, and special multi-course menu options at many of the city’s Chinese restaurants.

The Steveston Salmon Festival is celebrated every year on Canada Day and is known as "Canada’s biggest little birthday party." And the Richmond World Festival celebrates Richmond’s cultural diversity through arts, culture, and food happenings, plus a jam-packed menu of live music.

It is a vibrant city with vibrant people, and there's always plenty to see and do.

We can guarantee you'll never be bored during the CARHA Hockey World Cup.
