We wanted to provide you with more information on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies ahead of the 2020 Molson Canadian CARHA Hockey World Cup! The Opening Ceremonies are an official ceremony to welcome all participants to the CARHA Hockey World Cup and to Richmond. They allow teams the chance to make new friends and re-connect with old ones in true Canadian fashion all the while enjoying live entertainment, interactive activities and a cold Molson Canadian or glass of wine from Lulu Island Winery! The Opening Ceremonies are set to begin on Sunday, March 29th at 5:00pm at the Richmond Olympic Oval, where participants can enjoy a cocktail reception with food and drink until 6:30pm, at which point they'll begin their route on the Parade of Athletes! At the conclusion of the parade, participants will re-enter the Richmond Olympic Oval where the celebration continues! The Closing Ceremonies provide the opportunity for athletes, guests, volunteers and organizers to come together to celebrate the success of the event. It's one last celebration before the conclusion of the event. The Closing Ceremonies are taking place on Saturday, April 4th at 6:00pm, also at the Richmond Olympic Oval, and is gala style with tables organized by team. Dinner is being served between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, after which we'll have a video presentation and speeches, which is set to conclude with the band starting to play and the celebration continuing for hours! The Opening and Closing Ceremonies are always one of the best parts of the CARHA Hockey World Cup and we encourage you to take in and enjoy every second of them!
